God is getting ready to do a New Thing… Are you ready for it????
Isaiah 43:19 “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”
Now to correctly understand this verse and walk in it, you must read it in its context:
Isaiah 43:18 “Remember Not the former things… Nor consider the things of old…”
God doesn’t want us to remember the old things. God doesn’t want us to “fold” the pages where people hurt us. God doesn’t want us to meditate on our mistakes, because what God has for us in the future is greater.
There’s no point in looking back…. Why? Because every mistake… offense…every sin and act of rebellion… has been paid for at the Cross:
“then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more. Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.” – Hebrews 10:17-18 NKJV
“For Christ died for sins once and for all, a good man on behalf of sinners, in order to lead you to God. He was put to death physically, but made alive spiritually,” – 1 Peter 3:18 Good News translation
“but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God. (Meaning the forgiveness was finished.)” – Hebrews 10:12 NASB
“but now once at the consummation of the ages He (Jesus) has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.” – Hebrews 9:26b NASB
GET THE PICTURE?!?!…. ALL OF YOUR SINS (PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN!!!
That’s why we should be the most joyful, hopeful, happiest people on the planet! God’s love has been manifested in giving His Son for us…
He wants us to think about what He’s doing now and will be doing for us… The plan is a good one we just need to let it unfold…
Jeremiah 29:11 New International Version (NIV)
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Do not be conformed to the things of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind [Romans 12:2]. The battlefield is in our mind [2 Corinthians 10:5].
God is good, no matter what we’re going through. He cannot forsake us or deny us. We can deny him or forsake Him, but He won’t us!
We need to remember the times when God was good to us. Don’t mentally separate the good from the bad either. God doesn’t want us to look back.
Everything was taken and paid for on the cross. So, you owe nothing, and no one owes you anything. Set your thoughts on things above. Don’t dwell on the things of this world.
He prepared A way in the wilderness… And Streams in the Desert.
God arranged situations, circumstances in our lives to lead us to a place that He has prepared for us. He has prepared everything for us, all we need to do is yield.
If you’re a child of God, nothing can hurt you. No matter what comes your way, God is with you. He’s allowing it for a reason.
Whatever your Past was…Whatever Your current circumstances are… They have been Swallowed up by the Cross….
Let’s yield to the Lord this coming year. Remember the good He’s done for you.
No matter what situation you’re going through, keep the Cross in front of you. He paid it all. His life is in you.
1 Corinthians 2:2 AMPC “I purpose to know one thing and only one thing among you, Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”
Whatever situation you’re going through see it nailed on that cross. And the life that is within you that’s been waiting to be unleashed will come forth and sprout into a beautiful tree. A tree that God will use for people to come and eat of the fruit.
So, let us be all that Jesus created us to be!
